Welcome to your personal provider of high quality Primary Initial Teacher Training
Teaching is an exciting, challenging and rewarding profession.
At FIPC we set high expectations to inspire and motivate those aspiring to a teaching career.
Whether you are changing career or just graduating from university, Forest Independent Primary Collegiate (FIPC) could enable you to achieve a career in teaching. FIPC is a large provider of Initial Teacher Training with numerous partnership schools within the boroughs of Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Havering, Enfield, and the counties of Hertfordshire and Essex. Their varied geographical backgrounds enable trainees to gain an understanding of schools serving both rural and urban communities.
We are based on the Latton Green Primary Academy Site in Harlow and our training takes place in a variety of schools across our partnership. This creates a community dedicated to teaching and learning.
We consider the two most important aspects of the FIPC Initial Teacher Training Programme to be achieving a balance between work and study, and building and maintaining professional relationships.
Our courses are intended to be a bespoke package of school led and FIPC based learning and development. Your needs will be met through a balance of “learning on the job”, formal training, coaching, mentoring and self-directed study. We have strict Covid 19 measures in place and an online programme ready to cover any Covid 19 interruption.
Starting anything new is difficult and can be challenging, but we are sure that in the school in which you are based, you will soon feel part of the team and receive the support you require. Teacher training is an integral and important part of life in schools.
There will be plenty of opportunities to meet other FIPC trainees and you will have daily contact with your mentor, both formally and informally. You will be assigned a tutor who will work closely with you to ensure progress in achieving the Teachers’ Standards.
Since the challenges presented by COVID-19, society has become more caring with a community spirit. At FIPC we embrace this feeling with a sense of kindness, warmth and wisdom. Educational establishments that promote care and concern for everyone are less stressful places and in demonstrating kindness, we become happier, healthier and more successful.
Welcome to our collegiate.
